So here's the deal... I thought for sure that we'd lose to the Padres. I really thought for sure that we'd lose to the Mets. I'm also pretty sure that we'll lose to the Tigers...

So who the heck knows what will happen? I like the Tigers and I really like Jim Leyland. It should be fun to watch, anyway.

It should be a great World Series. The fair-weather errr Tiger fans are really into it up here. Funny how things change when you win.

Josh - It will be a good World Series. May the best team win (Detroit TIGERS!!!) Oh yeah BABY!

It really will be a fun week of games. Here's to watching them with you, even though we aren't together!

I think it's funny that Ken Depeal is rooting for the Tigers, when he has always been a Braves fan!!!

Wow...

First, let me say congrats in taking Game 1. Looks like the Cards may be ready to upset... again.

Second, let me say to Jeffrey that it IS funny that I'm rooting for the Tigers. I gave up on them in 1988 after being a Tigers fan ALL MY LIFE (since 1969 for those counting), and started watching (and cheering) for the Braves at that time. The Braves were pretty sucky then, but they were on cable everyday and had some fun promotional nights going on then.

Third, let me say there's been enormous pressure to cheer for the Tigers now that I'm living in Michigan. We go to lots of West Michigan Whitecaps games (the single A affiliate), and it's been fun to watch some of these guys come up through the system to the majors.

Fourth, let me say that Scott Rolen is a stud athlete, and that Reyes guy can PITCH. Great pitching beats great hitting every time, doesn't it?

Enjoy the series, Josh. I'll be checking in once in awhile! :-)

Senior DePeal-

No offense intended in my previous remarks. I was just "Joshin' Ya."

However, in the times where I would babysit for you here in the good ole Quad Cities, you'd get mad when I'd for a short moment get your boys to like the Cardinals instead of the Braves!! So, I apologize for disrespecting your sports loyalties.

By the way. How is the family doing? I still talk about Mason and Marcus sometimes. They were good kids.
